San Francisco (April 1, 2006) — Atlassian Software Systems today announced that Fat Bastard has agreed to a multi-million dollar contract to become the company’s spokesperson. The Austin Powers movie star will headline a blockbuster series of television commercials planned for worldwide distribution. With the theme, “If it’s not Atlassian, it’s crap!”, the ads are expected to break new ground in software marketing. “The main reason we started a US operation was to get the best American marketing ideas, said co-founder Mike Cannon-Brookes. Agreeing, fellow founder Scott Farquhar added, “The Scottish kilt thing is kind of cool.” The first commercial will feature Fat Bastard eating an entire 500-user installation of Confluence, the enterprise wiki.
