  From my research I believe both integrations can be used concurrently. I suspect you’ll want to tag issues in JIRA when you want them sent to VersionOne. Using this approach allows you to also assign the JIRA issue to a developer, making it easier for the developer to locate the Issue when checking in code to AccuRev. Additionally, if the JIRA issue is assigned to the developer first, and the user ids match in JIRA and VersionOne, the VersionOne integration will set the Defect owner field to the JIRA issue owner.

  How do you integrate the work estimates in JIRA with Version One? We use JIRA for some project management today and are looking at Version One, but I don’t see a way to maintain distributed entry (developers update work estimates and remaining work) and project managers can summarize effects. I presume I’d have to have developers go enter things directly into Version One, which seems costly.

  The VersionOne-JIRA integration makes JIRA issues available in VersionOne. The only update that occurs between the two systems is when the VersionOne defect is closed. When this happens the integration updates JIRA by either updating a custom field or advancing the workflow. The source code for the integration component is available from the VersionOne website (http://community.versionone.com/Downloads/Reference%20Implementations/Forms/DispForm.aspx?ID=33) if you wish to add more advanced synchronization.

  Jira is very good at managing issues for projects, but useless for managing projects overall.
  For example you cant customise project fields or attach documents or even set a priority for projects.
  Does version one help prioritise projects and abilty close projects overall?
