`Well, in OUR country,’ said Alice, still panting a little, `you’d generally get to somewhere else — if you ran very fast for a long time, as we’ve been doing.’
`A slow sort of country!’ said the Queen. `Now, HERE, you see, it takes all the running YOU can do, to keep in the same place. If you want to get somewhere else, you must run at least twice as fast as that!’
Through the Looking Glass by Lewis Carroll
We always run at least twice as fast here at Atlassian. It’s exhilarating, and well worth the effort. It’s an achievement that Deloitte recognised this week when they named Atlassian in the Deloitte Australia 2008 Technology Fast 50 for the fourth year in a row.
The Fast 50 ranks the fifty fastest growing technology companies, public or private, based on percentage revenue growth over three years (2006-2008). Atlassian achieved a staggering 255% growth in revenue over this period and was accordingly ranked #20 among the Fast 50. To maintain such a rapid growth rate is a significant feat – Atlassian is one of only seven companies on the Fast 50 list to have been in the awards for four or more years.
As we all know the world is turning a little slower this year – last year we also ranked #20 on list with 357% growth. We, however, still plan to keep running, very, very, fast.
