How Friday Media Group implemented a single, global service desk

Friday Media Group is the biggest independent media company in the UK. What started in 1975 as a local advertising paper to East Sussex now boasts a portfolio of over 80 websites generating 10 million monthly visitors – 20 percent of all UK internet users.

Prior to JIRA Service Desk, agents used as many as four different systems for a single request. Now, all offices have standardized their request process around JIRA Service Desk, giving Friday Media Group a single global service desk.

Since December, Friday Media Group has processed over 10,000 tickets with JIRA Service Desk with hardly any training involved. “On a day-to-day basis, I have been very happy with the Service Desk installation and I can see great opportunities to expand the use,” says Andrew Hancox, chief technology officer.
