Syntax Highlighting for Google Gadgets

At Atlassian, we've been on the Google Gadgets gravy train for the past few months. Working with gadgets means you'll be working a lot with HTML & JavaScript stuck in XML files. Since the IDE picks up the file as an XML file, you end up losing the syntax highlight sugar coating you know and love. Luckily, for IDEA users in any case, there is a way! With IntelliLang you can "inject" a language within another language. You can configure IDEA to recognise text of <Content> tags in XML files

FedEx VIII – NNTP FTW!

Between the trials, tragedy and the triumph, the 8th instalment of Atlassian FedEx day came and went. 49 projects were submitted in the biggest and the best one yet! Projects spanned the entire gamut; from playing shiny new toys like Skitch, EC2, Groovy to parallelising Maven downloads and adding supportability to our products. My week @ Javapolis

What a week! Javapolis was my first "real" conference and it was certainly an experience. Four days, 3300 attendees and 250 Atlassian t-shirts given away. The days were long and usually started with us setting up around 8 in the morning and on a few nights, we were still giving demos at 8 at night! We were armed with two gorgeous 30 inch Apple Cinema Displays which was coveted by all and sundry. Six Days in a Leaky Boat
