My people are spending time on f**cking what?!

I must admit that while Charles was very excited to hear the announcement of the 20% time trial at Atlassian, I received it with mixed feelings. The first thought that popped into my head was that we are giving people one day a week to slack off. Hence, the features that we think will benefit customers the most will be delayed. How can we encourage developers to spend time away from the chosen roadmap? Aren't people just going to spend their time learning the latest scripting language of the day

Codegeist III: even more prizes!

Codegeist III just got better: we've added three new software license prizes to the contest. Many of the plugins for Atlassian products are free and open source, but some of them cost actual money. And since we're giving away licenses of JIRA and Confluence, I thought we might want to offer some of these plugins as well. Beware of Hash Cookies

During my latest stint as the JIRA Developer on Support, I came across an issue where a customer reported that the Remember Me functionality of JIRA wasn't working - but only for some users. In his instance, he had two users: wmlalai and lagonil - for now, let's call them B1 and B2. For B1, the Remember Me functionality worked as expected; for B2, not so. Curious to the cause of this problem, I loaded up the customer's data in a local instance, and sure enough I was able to reproduce it. Monitoring
