Recommended upgrade to the Plugin Repository Client
Jonathan Nolen, Dir. of Developer RelationsFebruary 5, 2007
Just a quick note to let everyone know that we've released a small upgrade (1.3.1) to the Plugin Repository Client. The new version recognizes the Atlassian-bundled plugins and does not attempt to uninstall them. (Confluence doesn't allow it, and attempting to do so caused errors.) We recommend this upgrade for everyone using the plugin repository. You can get it from the usual places: the Confluence Plugin Library, or from the Plugin Repository itself.

FYI - I tried to upgrade and it gave me a big error box with raw html in it. Something about oops an error has occured. Now I get an error when I try to go to the repository client page.

You should be able to manually re-install the plugin repository via the old method. Download the jar from here:
http://confluence.atlassian.com/display/CONFEXT/Confluence+Repository+Client
and upload that using the plugin manager as described here:
http://confluence.atlassian.com/display/DOC/Installing+and+Configuring+Plugins+manually
If that doesn't seem help, please try restarting Confluence as well.
Please let us know if that works.
Cheers,
Jonathan
