A Microsoft tester's thoughts on bugs / 2003 Nov 17

Via Sci-Fi Hi-Fi I found this post by Joe Bork (a Microsoft software tester - yes, it's not a joke :)). It's an excellent treatise on why some bugs get fixed, why others don't and why 'hire more testers' is not an answer here.

If you ever file bugs, I suggest you read it.
If you ever try to fix bugs, I suggest you read it.
If you ever try to write bugless software, I suggest you read it.

If you don't fall into the 3 categories above, I'm not sure why you're reading my blog - but welcone and perhaps read it anyway :)
