This quote comes out of a fabulous blog post by Jason Calcanis. The panel featured some of the 'new breed' of internet superstars (people who have actually done something worthy, not just hype inflaters) including the founders of RackSpace and FuckedCompany.
Interestingly not one of the 5 had started their successful business first (all had failed before, most multiple times).
Insightful business quote of the day (paraphrased):
Williams pointed out that most business do something other then they were intended to do. He said Pyra wasn’t created to build blogger.com. Williams said he was used to be very product orientated, as opposed to being business focused. He says O’Rielly [sic] says “business is the context in which to do interesting things.”
Is _that_ what I am doing wrong.....
