My dearest blog, please accept my humblest apologies for neglecting you and not posting for... 8 months. Forgive me for heartlessly ignoring you. My lack of posts doesn't mean I haven't been thinking of you, merely that I haven't actually written anything.
I have been busy, but I realise that is no excuse. I know I have done this before - indeed I've even promised to be a better blog owner before - but please let me try once again.
Beyond neglect, I also will admit to being a dastardly cheat. Yes, that's right - I've been occasionally posting to the Atlassian developer blog when I found a topic of interest to our developers. Please blog, don't see this as an act of infidelity on my part. I'd like you to view it as a broadening or 'opening' of our relationship.
To all "my readers" (do I have any of those anymore?) accept this as a public display of my ongoing affection for my blog and my commitment to it despite my cruel neglect. If I lived in London, I'd sure I could have some sort of commitment ceremony nowadays (after Elton of course).
I solemnly promise to attend whatever 12-step seminars you see fit from the BBA (Bad Blog-owners Anonymous) and have made a donation in your honour to the RSPCB (Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Blogs).
Once again my apologies - I will do better in 2006. The posts are coming.
Yours sincerely,
Mike (your owner)
One of the better parts of using RSS is that you don't "lose readers" - the link just comes back as soon as you post. :)
Gee Mike, you post even less often than Martin Fowler does, does this mean that your less frequent updates are going to be even better through extra distillation before being comitted to pixels :)
Awesome!!!
Shame. :)
You'll have to post often to make it up to your poor, neglected blog!
What about "Wikizen" and "My Friend the Developer"? :)
I didn't know that you had a new post, just that your feed had suddenly broken: http://feedvalidator.org/check?url=http://blogs.atlassian.com/rebelutionary/index.rdf
