Sydney OpenCoffee Meetup / 2007 Apr 30

I'm going to the "Sydney OpenCoffee Meetup": on Thursday at the Brew Cafe in the Rocks. I thought I'd give a shout out to any other Sydney entrepreneurs out there to check it out. Haven't been, don't really know what it's about but I'm always fired up to support the local entrepreneurial scene.

Hey, if nothing else it's coffee and a good chat.

Quoting from the Sydney meetup page:

OpenCoffee is based on a similar, successful idea introduced in London, and is about creating a regular, informal, meeting place for people involved in, or who want to be involved in, the Tech Startup Industry.

We know Sydney has the talent, but we've never really had a regular place for all the technology entrepreneurs, investors, developers, creatives and anyone else with an interest in tech startups to just hang out.

The more we get to know each other and spur each other on through collaboration and competition the faster the Sydney Tech Startup industry will grow and the quicker we can make ourselves a global player.

Hope to see you there!

Wish I was going also. Have a great time. I read about the London one last month and it sounds pretty good.

I am off to Palo Alto New Tech Meetup tonight - should also be good.
