A small but amusing entry came across my Google Alert for the word "wiki" today:
Bogor, West Java (ANTARA News) - An African chimpanzee gave birth to a female baby at the primate center in the Taman Safari Indonesia (TSI) parl in Cisarua subdistrict, Bogor district, recently, a spokesperson said. Wiki, the chimpanzee (20), gave birth to Windi, and Kobi (15) was the father of the newly-born, TSI spokesperson Nur Syamsiah said here Monday.
Congratulations to the new mother!
Correct me if I'm wrong, but with this Wiki actually predates Ward's use of the term quite significantly.
I guess from now on it'll be a tad difficult to dispute the "Wiki = monkey business" views :-)
