Atlassian Pledges $500,000 to Match Room to Read Donation Challenge

For every every dollar up to $500,000 donated to Room to Read's Checkout Challenge, Atlassian will match it. That's right - Atlassian will turn half a million dollars in donations into a million. Atlassian conservation volunteers strike back on Mars

Our usual tools are wikis, issue trackers and continuous integration servers... But today we wielded long-handled loppers, secateurs and saws. The last time we used a long-handled lopper, we saved the planet. This time, we're out to save Mars! Atlassian Foundation raises $US191k for charity in one month

That's right. Atlassians are a generous bunch, digging deep and donating almost $200,000 to their favourite charities in just one month. So how did it happen? Well, we like to call it "Double Donation Matching in May" - for every $1 Atlassians donated, the Atlassian Foundation double matched it. The result: Double Happiness. Atlassian Foundation helps save the planet

It's a little known fact that Atlassians have green blood. You could cut one to see, but that's probably not a good idea. Especially if the Atlassian concerned is holding our weapon of choice, the long-handled lopper. A few days ago, a group of us went out to help Conservation Volunteers Australia save the planet. $63,210, 100 Moustaches & an Oompa Loompa

A record 100 Atlassian's grew a moustache during the month of November to heighten awareness for men's health issues. Collectively they raised US $31,605 along the way in support of inspiring initiatives in Sydney, San Francisco, and Amsterdam.
