The JIRA 4 Beta program is now complete. This week we released JIRA 4 Release Candidate 1 which means we're closer than ever to the finish line.

Couldn't have done it without you!

I would like to thank everyone who got involved and helped us drive JIRA 4 to be the biggest and best release in Atlassian history. Since we started the Beta Program at Atlassian Summit last June, we have had thousands of downloads and tons of great feedback from customers. The JIRA development team has worked feverishly to close nearly 1000 issues (986 at last count) in the making of JIRA 4. We're not quite there yet, but we are now in the home stretch and putting on the final touches.

Can't wait..

If you want to get started with planning your upgrade, testing your plugins, or if you simply can't wait any longer to play around with the new UI, activity streams, dashboards, and JQL searching; you can download JIRA 4 RC 1 right now. Otherwise, watch this space!!
