Confluence Wiki Importer Tool

Jonathan Nolen talks about Confluence October 30, 2005 10:48 PM

I just uploaded the source code and added a Confluence page for a Wiki Importer. We've had a rough JSPWiki importer for a while, but this is an improved version that also supports TWiki, courtesy of one our generous users.

It may still be a little rough, but it should be enough to get started with. If you have any problems or find anything that needs improvement, let us know.

Hopefully, this code can serve as framework for developers who are working on exporters from other wikis. In particular, we've had some folks asking recently about DocuWiki and MediaWiki. If you're working on such a project, take a look. And if you would like to make any improvements, drop us a line and we'll grant you subversion access to do so.

The wiki exporter has been renamed to the Wiki Importer. But it's the same code. The same instructions will apply. I've updated the post and the links.

Cheers,
Jonathan

I attempted to import the entire Space from one Wiki (at different site) to another Wiki (local access) from the Space --> Space Admin --> Import Pages from Disk. I am sure access control list is set to r,w,e; apparently it still has error message, "The directory specified does not exist, or cannot be accessed." I need help please. Thanks.

I was just Googling 'wiki importer' and saw this post from a couple of years ago pop up.

We have now developed a universal wiki converter which currently supports conversion for 8 wiki platforms. Hundreds of companies have successfully used this converter tool. We continue to enhance, update and support this the UWC.
